Militsa Drakou

Militsa Drakou graduated from the English School Nicosia and then studied Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where she graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics.  She continued with a postgraduate MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), on a full scholarship from the Cyprus-American Scholarship Programme (CASP).  She was employed by Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G) as a brand manager abroad.  She then worked for the Cyprus Development Bank Public Company Ltd (cdbbank) for a period of 25 years, initially as a financial analyst and progressively as a manager and senior manager in the Banking Division.  She headed the Bank’s Corporate Banking Division.  She is a professional consultant on banking/finance.  She acted as an external banking consultant to international consultancy firms and participated in the recent stress tests exercises for Cyprus banks.  She is a lecturer to banking institutions and professionals, specialising on NPLs. She is a tutor of the ACCA professional qualification.  She was a member of the Institute of Financial Services (IFS) Cyprus Committee.  She is the chairwoman of the Board of Directors of LCP Holdings and Investments Public Ltd and a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of The Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Ltd (CISCO).  She is also an executive member of MFO Asset Management Ltd.
